Carl Adams is presently the Head Coach at Boston University and is a former 2 time NCAA Champion, 2 time National Freestyle National Champion, Silver medalist in the Pan Am Games and a 1975 World Team member. In 1975, national Mat News named him Middle Weight of the Decade.

Carl Adams has been a Division. 1 College Coach for 36 years, he was a member of 3 NCAA Championship teams at Iowa State, member of 3 World Teams, he is the inventor of The “ADAM” Takedown Machine & the Snap and Shoot Takedown System, he is also the inventor of the TAKEDOWN DEFENDER, he is the Author of three instructional wrestling books, a member of four Wrestling Hall of Fames, has coached over 20,000 young wrestlers at his World Class Wrestling Camps, he was an assistant coach at Iowa State for 6 years, Head coach at Rhode Island University for 2 years and has been the Head Coach at Boston University for 27 years, he has coached 7 NCAA Champions, 41 All Americans and over 150 NCAA qualifiers.
